With over 60 years of combined experience working with children of all ages and skill levels, instructors Emily, Christine and Diana will work with
YOU and your child
to improve visual tracking, auditory imprecision, impulsivity, balance and anxiety issues. BAVX improves academics, focus, listening, whole body coordination, socialization, leadership and self-confidence.

This Introductory workshop is for parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers, therapists to learn the very basic techniques of Bal-A-Vis-X in the morning session.
In the afternoon, they will learn how to use these exercises with their children using
sandbags and racquetballs. It is school friendly and just plain fun!

I received my M.Ed., from Queens College, taught Art for 34 years in Hicksville, and established Brainworks Plus in 2002.
I am a Licensed Brain Gym® Consultant/Instructor, Sanctioned Bal-A-Vis-X® Instructor, Professional Staff Development Clinician, Guest Speaker, Certified Language of Mastery® Instructor, Total Immersion® Swim Coach, ChiWalking® Instructor, Kripalu Hatha Yoga Teacher, Fine Artist and Singer/Songwriter.
I established the multi-generational Brain-Body Fitness Learning programs in 2002. I have worked with young children up to Senior Citizens for the past 17 years, helping them to learn, perform and enjoy their life by using the therapeutic programs I teach, joined by my skilled team of OT's Christine Rockett, and Diana Keegan.
When I am not working with my students, young and older, I love the outdoors, kayaking, hiking in the mountains, painting, singing, walking, gardening, and being with my grandson.

You will be introduced to yogic breathing, Japanese Brush Painting (Sumi-e) strokes as a meditation for peaceful stillness and the beauty of your own flow and movements made visible in the style of the Japanese brush painting. No art experience required. A desire for inner calm in your essence and keen focus are your rewards. Location: Northport .
